Internet to real estate agents
For Immediate Release
[Tuesday, March 12, 2002 - London, St. Thomas, Strathroy, Tillsonburg,
Woodstock] On Wednesday, March 13 @ 5:30 PM Rogers Television will host
a reception to launch with Cyberteks Design a totally new web concept
for their real estate TV game show, nopricelikehome.com. The website will
now offer London and region real-estate agents a web-based advertising
forum supported by the successful TV show nopricelikehome.com on Rogers
Television. Agents can purchase their own web page on the nopricelikehome.com
website, post their profile, property listings and virtual tours and they
can learn from Cyberteks Design how to modify their web page.
Special guests at the launch will include 14 year-old Keith Peiris,
internationally recognized and award winning President and CEO of London-based
Cyberteks Design, Deputy Mayor Russ Monteith and Bob Wood, MPP London
West and Parliamentary Secretary to the Ontario Ministry of Correctional
Services.
Hosted by the enigmatic Phil Waddington, nopricelikehome.com (weekdays
@ 6:30 PM) is London's only interactive TV game show where the viewer
is the contestant and the game is played via television and the Web. Ten
London and region homes are showcased on each episode and viewers play
the game and win prizes by watching and answering trivia questions on
each of the featured homes.
nopricelikehome.com premiered last February on Rogers Television, Cable
13 to viewers in London, St. Thomas, Strathroy, Tillsonburg and Woodstock
and is currently in its fourth season. To date over 1,400 players have
registered to play online, the website has received 34,000 visitors and
over 390 weekly prizes have been awarded to contestants. Three lucky contestants
have each won one of the Grand Prizes offered in each series; a vacation
for two to a Sandals resort in Jamaica, courtesy of Sandals, an old-fashioned
cast-iron fireplace courtesy of Union Energy and five major Maytag home
appliances.
The new website will also feature contests and trivia games for children.
The hockey shoot-out game features prizes donated by Kewl Threads, a hockey
apparel company owned by the Toronto Maple Leafs' Shane Corson and D'arcy
Tucker.
